Today I enjoyed: 3 Body Problem.

3 Body Problem pulls us into a fast developing science fiction series with a complex story, interesting characters and some very essential questions towards (alien) live and how humans would react to a first contact.

It is certainly not groundbreaking material, but I have to say: Finally a Netflix show that is bingeworthy, entertaining and creative again! The material is not from Netflix though, but goes back to a novel by Liu Cixin from 2008. Neither do I not know the novel, nor the Chinese TV show from last year, so I cannot compare, but I really like what Netflix did with the material. I binged through it in two days and my only regret is, that I now have to wait for the next season.

The characters are interesting, relatable and have depth. The music is on point and supports the narrative. No wonder, with Ramin Djawadi in charge, who created music for Iron Man, Game of Thrones and Pacific Rim to name only a few. The story is compelling and kept me invested at all times. And finally, the cinematography is great, there are plenty of amazing images, both real and CGI.

With the show runners of Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss as producers and Benedict Wong, Jonathan Pryce and Liam Cunningham among the senior cast, one can imagine the gravitas and feeling of this show.

I am really looking forward to the next season(s)!
